Does la palapa have a banquet room and catering?
No nonsense American Mexican food. The burritos and chimichangas are enormous. Fajita steak was plentiful but tough little strips. Lots of seafood on the menu which we weren't brave enough to order.
MoreExcellent food! The chimichangas were amazing! Great service, pleasant atmosphere.
MoreGood food, good quantities and fair prices. The real deal.
The best Micheladas for hundreds of miles. Delicious mariscos π
Staff was nice. The food is lousy!
Best Mexican food in all of town!! Highly recommend you to stop by for a michelada and there 7 seas stew
MoreJust love it. I can walk to it. Love the cafe mexicano. Good prices.
Enjoyed the food and the service. Thank you
A very good restaurant my sister and I come there for Tuesday night taco and we love it there the waitress and waiters are good people very nice and very polite
Morethis place is the best! fast, friendly staff. food is always great!
Perfect as a pit stop on the go. Food is amazing, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Wonderful live music, there was a very talented harp player who was very pleasing to listen to. I highly suggest this place as you are driving to palm desert, etc.
MoreGood micheladas, if you like Mexican sea food this is the place to visit, I recommend the molcajete
MoreFood is very good. Decent service and nice atmosphere
This spot is worth giving a shot. They serve big portions for fair prices. Regularly clean and with good character. Would recommend to others.
MoreGreat Food and Wonderful service! We will definitely be back!
Great food, super slow service
Love the street tacos and Lucy the bartender is awesome! She makes the best margaritas!
MoreWould surely recommend trying this place. Great mood, delicious dishes, excellent service. Keep it up.
MoreGreat fish and shrimp tacos, the Mahi Mahi were my favorite!
Good food, nice staff, fair pricing.
This place is hidden but worth it, we are picky about real Mexican food and they are great. We have tried many here yucca and hands down good food great service. They earned us as regulars now,be back soon.
MoreYou dont think it looks like much when you pull up but once you are inside it is incredible. The food is amazing and the staff are helpful and nice . Prices are reasonable
MoreWas an awesome dinner! Our server was great and chose the best dish for me (I asked him to, as I couldn't decide) Thanks from Canada!
MoreThe food is super great very authentic taste. Servings are HUGE. Staff is superior!!! Great little place for our high desert!!!
MoreWent before the dinner rush. Quick and friendly service. Food tasted great till I bit into a stick in my burrito. Yes, a stick. Told the waiter and all I got was a "sorry". I was done with eating at that point. We paid for the check and left. Will not return.
MoreAlways the best service in Yucca Valley and friendliness staff
Food consistently good all the time!
I went for taco Tuesday on Tuesday and they were phenomenal. the waiter which is the owner's son and he was excellent, really nice guy I believe his name was Caesar. And the margaritas that Cesar made was great.
MoreI hadn't been to La Palapa in probably a year and I don't know why I waited so long because the food, atmosphere and location were great. I had a house special fish and it was great, really great! I highly recommend the place.
MoreWhat a gem of a liβl family Mexican place! Fresh chips and hot salsa, shrimp tostadas, and substantial fish tacos! The caramel-y flan really sealed the deal at the end too. :)
MoreDelicious food and excellent service
Asked for a Campechana, was disappointed with the crab meat in it. Also, the campechanas that I am used to are from Santa Fe Restaurant in Coachella and they have more than just shrimp, octopus. Look at the picture and it's only 18.00 for their campechana. I'll just jeep making the trip down there.
MoreOur favorite Mexican restaurant in Yucca Valley. Consistently excellent food. Good service. Sometimes some great deals, but the prices are always reasonable.
MoreWent there for dinner because the reviews rated it so high. What a disappointment. First of all the outside is not as the Google photo shows, very run down. But we went in thinking the food was supposed to be good. I had ordered a chicken chimichanga and the sauces were cold, the wrap was soggy and completely tasteless. The rice and chicken had no seasoning whatsoever. The salad on the side was brown and disgusting - it was a bagged salad. My friend had ordered soft chicken tacos. The tacos were very soggy, the chicken and rice were bland and the refried beans were a pale beige disgusting slop. Its as if the ratings here were a different restaurant and if this is a 4+ star it does not say much for the Yucca Valley cuisine experience.
MoreLucy is the absolute best bartender ever! The food is terrific also.
We were a large group. They were packed. The bartender and the waiter were extremely friendly. The service was great and the food was great.
MoreWe had a pretty good dinner here this evening. Haven't eaten here in quite some time but most our food was great. The lobster bisque was a hit disappointing as I did not see a shred of lobster meat in it and the flavor was mediocre at best. My rib eye steak was deliscious and cooked perfect medium rare how I ordered it. The guacamole was on point. My kids loved the taquitos and my other half e joyed her fried fish tacos. The server was very nice and efficient. She kep our drinks full and was prompt to any requests. The only reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because for the prices they charge, the food could be a bit better. Especially the soup. All in all though. Good dinner.
MoreBest fish tacos in the area
Spent the day at Joshua Tree National Park. The places in the town of Joshua Tree fill up quickly so we drove to Yucca Valley and La Palapa. Excellent food. Started with two ice cold beers in frosted mugs. Loved the salsa that came with the chips. Had a nice kick to it. I had chicken enchiladas w/green sauce and my wife had chicken street tacos. Both dishes were excellent as was the rice and beans.
MoreWe came upon this spot in Yucca Valley on our way to Joshua Tree. Their tacos are very good for the price.
MoreThe food is great and the sport bar area is a cool area to catch a game or two..!
MoreFood was amazing, even my kids ate their food. Just watch out when you pay the bill so you don't pay double in tip and gratuity
MoreSo so so delicious!!! This plate (Maoljete) was better than anything we have ever had at any Mexican restaurant or even in Mexico!
MoreLove this place. Good food, great bar, TV's. Mostly only locals cuz it's off the highway. Support it!
MoreAmazing Fish tacos. Highly recommend it.
Fast, friendly service, delicious food, and great strawberry margaritas!
Food was delicious and the service was fast. Not exactly easy to find but definitely worth finding.
MoreAmazing family owned Mexican spot. Huge space olesnty of room to hang. The bartender is great. Quality line up of booze and the food is perfect Mexican cuisine. You can't do any better in the high desert. It's a bit hidden and don't judge the exterior the food and drinks are the stars here.
MoreHave the mixed saviche and ask for some extra lime , also dont skip desert , the fennel is a delightfull version of a creme caramel , service was excellent and friend
MoreNice people and great food!
